2. Advantages of Cycling.                                  By: Ram

In today's fast-paced world, where health and environmental concerns are on the rise, cycling is becoming an increasingly popular mode of transportation. There are numerous advantages to choosing cycling over driving or using public transportation, and it’s time for us to take a cue from China and promote cycling as a viable means of transport in India.

One of the most obvious advantages of cycling is the health benefits it provides. Cycling is a great form of exercise that helps build stamina, improve cardiovascular health, and tone muscles. It's a low-impact exercise that's easy on the joints and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By cycling regularly, you can keep fit without having to spend money on gym memberships or expensive workout equipment. Another advantage of cycling is that it's an economical mode of transportation. With fuel prices constantly on the rise, cycling can save you a significant amount of money on a daily basis.

Furthermore, owning and maintaining a bicycle is much cheaper than owning a car. By cycling instead of driving, you can also save money on parking fees, tolls, and other transportation expenses. In addition to the personal benefits, cycling also has a positive impact on the environment. Unlike cars and motorbikes, bicycles do not produce harmful emissions that contribute to air pollution. By choosing to cycle instead of drive, you can reduce your carbon footprint and help keep the air clean. Furthermore, cycling helps to reduce traffic congestion and noise pollution on the roads. With more people choosing to cycle, there will be fewer vehicles on the road, leading to less congestion and fewer traffic jams. This will ultimately lead to a more pleasant and peaceful urban environment for everyone.

In China, bicycles are more popular than cars, and the benefits of this shift in transportation culture are clear. With India being the largest producer of bicycles, it’s fair to ask: can it be the largest user as well? The time is ripe for us to promote cycling as a mainstream mode of transport in India. By following China’s example, we can work towards creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.

In conclusion, the advantages of cycling are numerous, and it’s high time we recognize and promote it as a viable means of transportation. Not only does cycling provide great exercise and save money, but it also has a positive impact on the environment, reduces congestion, and promotes a healthier lifestyle. So, let's all get on our bikes and pedal towards a brighter future for India.

3. Advantages of Cycling                                   By: Riya

In today's sedentary world, where people are becoming more and more reliant on technology, staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle has never been more important. One way to achieve this is through cycling. Not only is it a good form of exercise, but it also brings along numerous other advantages. Let us explore the benefits of cycling and understand why it is crucial to promote this eco-friendly mode of transport in our country.

First and foremost, cycling is an excellent way to keep fit and maintain a healthy body and mind. It provides a cardiovascular workout that helps in strengthening the heart, building muscle strength, and improving lung capacity. Regular cycling not only helps in weight management but also reduces the risk of various diseases, including heart ailments, diabetes, and obesity. Moreover, it boosts mental well-being, reduces anxiety and depression, and enhances cognitive abilities. By incorporating cycling into our daily routine, we can ensure a healthier tomorrow for ourselves and future generations.

Furthermore, cycling is an economical means of transportation. With fuel prices skyrocketing, cycling proves to be a cost-effective alternative, saving both money and time. By pedaling to our destination, we can avoid spending exorbitant amounts on fuel and parking charges. It is a particularly crucial aspect in a developing country like India, where a major portion of the population belongs to the middle or lower income group. Encouraging cycling as a primary mode of transport would not only help individuals save money but also reduce the burden on their pockets, leading to improved living standards.

Aside from the personal benefits, cycling has a significant positive impact on the environment and our surroundings. As bicycles do not emit harmful gases, cycling is an eco-friendly option that helps combat pollution and reduces carbon footprint. With rising concerns about global warming and climate change, it becomes imperative for us to adopt sustainable practices, and cycling is a simple yet effective way to contribute towards a greener world. Additionally, cycling eliminates noise pollution, as the silent hum of the wheels provides a serene environment, unlike the incessant honking and engine noises of motor vehicles.

Another advantage of cycling is the freedom from traffic congestion. As urbanization rapidly takes place, traffic jams have become a daily nightmare for commuters. By cycling, we can bypass traffic snarls, reach our destination quicker and with lesser frustration. Moreover, bicycles require far less parking space than cars, reducing the strain on parking infrastructure. This would free up valuable land, which could be used for more productive purposes such as parks, playgrounds, or cycling tracks.

To promote cycling in India, we can draw inspiration from countries like China. China, the world's largest producer of bicycles, has successfully encouraged people to embrace this mode of transport. In cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou, cycling is more popular than cars, with dedicated cycling lanes and various other infrastructural provisions. As the largest producer of bicycles globally, India has the potential to replicate this success story. By developing safe cycling infrastructure, implementing cycling-friendly policies, and raising awareness about its benefits, we can aspire to become the largest user of bicycles and pave the way for a healthier and more sustainable future.

In conclusion, cycling offers numerous advantages that go beyond physical fitness. It promotes a healthier lifestyle, saves money, helps protect the environment, reduces traffic congestion, and improves overall well-being. It is high time we recognize the importance of cycling and make a conscious effort to encourage its adoption on a large scale. By pedaling our way towards the future, we can create a healthier, greener, and more prosperous India.

4. Advantages of Cycling                                    By: Renuka

In today's fast-paced world, finding time for physical activity can be a real challenge. With busy schedules and sedentary lifestyles becoming the norm, it is essential for us to integrate exercise into our daily routine. One such form of exercise that offers numerous benefits is cycling. Whether it's a leisurely ride through the park or a challenging mountain biking adventure, cycling not only brings joy but also improves our overall well-being.

Firstly, cycling is a fantastic way to tone our bodies and stay fit. It engages a range of muscles in our bodies, working our legs, arms, core, and even the small muscles in our hands and feet. As we pedal, our leg muscles contract and relax, providing an excellent workout. The constant balance required while cycling also engages our core muscles, leading to their strengthening and toning. Cycling helps to maintain a healthy body weight and reduce the risk of obesity, heart diseases, and other lifestyle-related ailments.

Additionally, cycling enhances our stamina and cardiovascular health. Regular cycling improves our heart rate, making it stronger and more efficient at pumping blood around the body. As a result, our lungs become stronger too, improving our breathing capacity and overall endurance. This improved stamina allows us to engage in physical activities for a longer period without feeling exhausted. The heightened cardiovascular health helps to reduce the risk of heart attacks, lower blood pressure, and maintain good cholesterol levels.

Another substantial benefit of cycling is the positive impact it has on our environment and saves valuable resources. Unlike motorized vehicles, bicycles neither emit harmful gases nor require fossil fuels to operate. Thus, cycling becomes an eco-friendly mode of transportation, reducing air pollution and carbon emissions. By choosing to cycle over driving, we contribute to the preservation of our planet and strive towards a sustainable future.

Moreover, cycling is not only beneficial for overall fitness but also strengthens our muscles. As we pedal, the resistance helps to build our leg muscles, enhancing their strength and endurance. Over time, our muscles adapt to the demands of cycling, becoming stronger and more flexible. Additionally, regular cycling stimulates the production of red blood cells, leading to improved oxygen delivery to our muscles and tissues.

Lastly, cycling has a profound effect on our mental well-being. Riding a bicycle can be incredibly exhilarating, invoking a sense of freedom and adventure. It allows us to reconnect with nature and escape from the stresses of everyday life. Engaging in physical activity releases endorphins, also known as the "feel-good" hormones, which uplift our mood and reduce stress levels. Cycling regularly helps to combat anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, resulting in increased energy and a positive outlook.

In conclusion, the advantages of cycling are extensive and impactful. From toning our bodies, increasing stamina, and strengthening muscles to saving fuel and being eco-friendly, the benefits of cycling cannot be overstated. By embracing cycling as a means of transport and incorporating it into our daily routines, we can enjoy a healthier lifestyle and promote a sustainable environment. However, the need for promoting cycling in our society cannot be overstated. This eco-friendly, cost-effective, and health-conscious means of transportation has the potential to revolutionize our urban landscape and contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.

Creating Separate Bike Lanes

To promote cycling, India should prioritize the development of dedicated bike lanes. These lanes will ensure the safety of cyclists, encourage more people to take up cycling, and ultimately lead to a reduction in accidents. Additionally, creating infrastructure that supports cyclists, such as secure bike parking facilities and shower facilities at workplaces, can make cycling a more attractive and feasible choice.

Speech on hazards of tobacco

 Q. The use of Tobacco in cigarettes and other forms is a great hazard. People do not pay much heed (attention) even to the statutory warning on cigarette packs. On the occassion of No Tobacco Day, Write a speech in about 150-200 words about the hazards of tobacco, giving arguments for your stand. You are Shalini/Suraj of Greenfields Public School.

    HAZARDS OF TOBACCO

Respected Principal, My worthy teachers and My dear friends. A very Good Morning to all of you. Today on the occassion of No Tobacco Day, I am here to express my views on the Hazards of tobacco.

We all know smoking or consuming tobacco is a dangerous bad habit. It contains nicotine, which makes people really addictive of it especially our teenagers and friends which in increasing day by day. It affects our health and causes various diseases and damages to our lungs and brain. Every year number of people are moving to death for this reason and sometimes they are avoided by their family. Through different cons I want to light your attention towards that it is very detrimental to our health.

Smoking has lot of disadvantages. Predominantly, it causes different diseases such as cancer of different parts of body and brain stroke which makes our body paralysed. First of all, it affects our lungs and reduces its functioning and then we get addicted, all become chain smoker and makes us the victim of mamy respiratory diseases like asthma, TB, respiratory infections etc. It is completely prohibited from our religious viewpoint so we must just avoid it as it is very harmful for not only smoker but also for non-smoker (people around us). Eventually, the addictive people get involved in different types of crimes too. They start collecting money by stealing, robbing etc. which keeps on increasing. Moreover, it is detrimental for environment and pollutes the air of environment. Not only the lungs or brain stroke but also the tooth and gum diseases are also caused by smoking or chewing tobacco which becomes the main reason of cavities. Furthermore, it creates blockages in arteries and and breathing problems in one's blood vessels. Mostly 3% of people died due to heart attack who consume tobacco. Last but not the least, it affects our skin the most and reduces the blood supply to our legs making us paralysed.

However, the tobacco industry is a source of huge tax for the government and it also provides employment to the huge sector of the economy but still government should take a strict action by making a ban on it. They also built up rehabilitation centres to help addicts give up smoking. On the other hand, people must raise awareness about its harmful effects and take some medical classes to get knowledge and help themselves and their relatives.

Lastly, people already know the dangers of smoking but they keep doing because of addiction and life habit. But I would say that govt. and personal efforts can reduce smoking in society. And if we want to get good health and wealth one should avoid it.

Thankyou.

IInd (M)

Now a days (These days) consumption of tobacco (tobacco consumption) in the form of cigarettes has increased over a period of time (has been increasing at a great pace). It has become a great issue to be discussed. It has a lot of hazards that affects one's health very badly.

The first and the foremost hazard of Tobacco is that it causes TB as it directly affects the lungs of the person; which can cause lung cancer also. Hence, it reduces the functioning of lungs. Secondly, A person addictive to this (A addictive person) becomes a victim of many respiratory diseases such as asthma, pneumonia, bronchitis and lower respiratory infections etc. It (can) also causes cancer of the mouth and tongue. Speech on 'Superstitions and its ill effects on the society'

 Q. You were shocked to come across the news of killings of innocent people purely on superstitions and hearsays even in present days. Prepare a speech on the topic "Superstitions and its ill effects on society" to be delivered in the morning assembly of your school.

    SUPERSTITIONS AND ITS ILL EFFECTS

Good Morning Respected principal, My worthy teachers and My dear friends. Today I stand before you to express my views on 'ill effects of superstitions on society'.

Since long time, we have seen people believe in power of unseen forces but it has no natural, logical or scientific evidence of being true. It is unreasonable but still exist all over the world. The most common sources of superstition are the fear and ignorance. It is a blind faith and has no explanation. Each country has its own superstitions. For exemplifier, In greek, the elements of nature are worshipped as god but in the Indian tradition the god is worshipped in the form of statue. People also continue to worship the sun, moon, planets, stars, plants and so on believing that these things have power to influence their lives. All people even educated and highly qualified may believe in superstitions to some extent. Some people named it as evil eye, ghosts and many more. Even superstitions are related to animals also as such if a crow caws on a house top it is thought that guests may come. Some people believe if a cat crossing your path is s sign of bad luck.

India has long history of superstitions. For instance, someone sneezes during the time of departure, people consider it yo be unlucky. Similarly, the number 13 is considered unlucky. It is believed that we will do best in an examination if we have curd and sugar before leaving the house. If a person meets a priest in the morning, he fears bad luck may follow. On the other hand, if he meets a beggar, he feels the day will bring good luck. Some superstitions are even related to involuntary movements of body parts like itching on a female palm is considered as a sign of getting unexpected wealth. Twitching of a left eye lid of a man is considered ominous. Similarly in the case of an owl, the hooting of owl is a sign of bad happening as such the wailing of dog. People in all countries believe in ghosts, witches and black magic and its very common. Superstition is often blamed failures in day to day life. Education and common sense can destroy superstitions because superstitions are only the products of illiteracy. Here, knowledge and superstitions are inversely proportional.

If we look at it look closely, there is no logic behind the beliefs and practices of superstitions. And despite with the technological advancement and global reach of education, superstitions are gradually disappearing. But a lot remains to be done before superstitions are completely done  away otherwise each moment of our life will be on edge.

Article on Laughter, the best medicine.

 Q. You are Ram/Rajani, President of Humour Club in chennai. Prepare a speech in about 150 words on 'Laughter, the best medicine' to address students in a school forum. Include the importance of laughing and smiling, need to bring harmless humour in life and the important role it plays in relieving stress using interesting anecdotes.

                LAUGHTER, THE BEST MEDICINE

As we all know, due to busy lifestyle people even have no time to laugh or smile. Now a days, life is already full of problems at every phase and at every step of life. So, we must laugh. Once there was a professor of surgery who elevated this treatment and developed this as trend for mood elevation. It costs nothing. Laughter is nothing but a physical reaction in humans usually consisting of rhythm, often audible through whole body. It can arise from such activities as being funny or from humorous stories or thoughts.

The proverb "Laughter is the best medicine". means that the laughter is the best way to recover. It often heals others around us or you when they are upset. So, we all must laugh daily. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed. Laughter boosts our immune system. It decreases the stress harmones and increases infection fighting antibodies. Surprisingly, but one study has found that laughing for 10-15 minutes a day can burn approximately 40 calories. It lightens the anger heavy loads. Nothing can diffuse our anger and conflict faster than a laugh or smile.

Moreover, A study in norway found that people who laugh as much may even help you to live longer particularly for those battling with cancer. It prevents all heart diseases from one's life. laughing the best exercise which adds joy and zest to life and improves mood.

Furthermore, It also strengthens the relationship with one another as by smiling we attract others to us. Laughing enhances teamwork as such the team can only be maintained and coordinated through laughing and it promotes group bonding. It helps us to keep a positive and optimistic  nature which helps us to fight with disappointments, losses and worries. So, one should always try to laugh and makes others to laugh.

CBSEGuess AI: Good morning everyone, I am Ram/Rajani, the President of the Humour Club in Chennai. Today, I am here to talk to you about something that is often taken for granted but has immense benefits for our physical and mental well-being - laughter. Mark Twain once said, “The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.” And I couldn't agree more. Laughter truly is the best medicine. It has the power to heal, to bring people together, and to make our lives brighter. We are often told to stay serious and focused in life, but we forget the importance of laughing and smiling. It not only makes us feel good, but it also has a positive impact on those around us. A simple smile can brighten someone's day. In today's fast-paced world, stress has become a constant companion. But do you know what can help us deal with it? Laughter! It is a natural stress reliever. When we laugh, our body releases endorphins, also known as the “feel-good” hormones. These hormones help us relax and reduce the levels of stress hormones in our body. We all love a good joke, but it is important to remember that humour should be harmless. We must be mindful of not hurting anyone's sentiments. Harmless humour can bring joy and positivity in our lives. Let me tell you a funny incident that happened during one of our club meetings. A member came up with a joke that left us all in splits. We were so busy laughing that we forgot about all our worries and problems for a while. That is the magic of laughter. In addition to stress relief, laughter also has many other health benefits. It boosts our immune system, lowers blood pressure, and improves our mood. So, let's make it a point to laugh and smile more often. In conclusion, I would like to say that life is too short to be taken seriously. Let's embrace laughter and humour in our lives. It not only makes us happier, but it also makes us healthier. So, let's laugh together and spread joy wherever we go. Thank you.

                             By: Reetu Aggarwal

Being living in this environment, the physical, social and mental well being of a human life as a whole is very significant. Now a days the coronavirus pandemic has become a great (vast) topic in our community as well as nation. Some believe that wearing a mask is meaningless or even unsafe but this simple step can save their lives. It is critical to make them understand the role of this protective equipment as its main goal is to prevent them from the droplets of coughing and sneezing which can easily infect them but mask disrupts this infectious disease. Wearing a mask is about protecting your neighbours, friends, relative etc. specially from this air brone disease those are at high risk i.e. kids and old age people. It is important to wear it to slow down the spread of covid-19.

Some individuals have myths that mask adversely affect their breathing or air intake but it has been proven by various sources that masks will not decrease your oxygen levels. However, it will stop the pathogens to enter to your healthy body. So the universal use of mask can significantly reduce virus transmission in the community, including those who are carrying the virus for transmitting it to others. Moreover, don't wearing mask is increasing the cases of number of deaths on significant portions. Hence, wearing s mask is not a restriction of freedom while it is the protection from the society from illness.

Moving further, Rather than wearing a mask , social distancing is also considered as an important element to reduce the spreading of this pandemic. This situation has shown that even a distance of 6 feet can decrease the spread of this virus. As we all know the primary care workers are the first point of contact of the patients. They too are getting infected. The only way of infection control is social distancing which outbreaks the chain of spreading this corona virus pandemic. While going out in the public people comes in contact with others and spread happens from an infected person and can also be inhaled which directly affects their lungs. For not being sick, it is important to stay atleast 6 feet away from others possibly. So stay home and away from other people until it is safe to be around others. Always try to avoid being in contact with contaminated surfaces which is one of the best tool to avoid being in contact with contaminated surfaces which is one of the best tool to avoid being exposed to the virus.

Now a days, coronavirus pandemic is one of the most deadly disease found in the world. It is a communicable disease and can cause a epidemic. And the change that take place in our lives due to this, is called as the new normal. It is a current situation that has not been experienced before. It has forced us to wear mask and maintain social distancing in our lives, which has an immense importance these days.

The first and the foremost importance is that it is very necessary now a days to prevent the spread and to fight against the current corona pandemic. Thus, it protect us and others to become the victim of this disease. That mask not only save us from viruses and germs but also protect us from other respiration problems and purify the air for us. Another is that, we can hide our bad or ugly faces (through masks) among people and thus, partiality and discrimination decreases. People also normally have to wear mask and maintain social distancing at their workplaces. Thus, they have no longer observed by anybody. Subsequently, It is easy to implement among the citizens of the country by the government under its supervision. Therefore, government trials to eradicate this disease become more effective.

Moreover, It will reduce the chances of lockdown in the country and acts as an alternative unless there is vaccine and cure. Efforts is minimal as compared to its benefits. It is the easiest and cheapest way to curtails the cases of coronavirus all over the world.

On the whole, The only biggest advantage of wearing mask (over social distancing) is that it is the best way to protect ourselves from this virus where hand washing and maintaining social distancing is not possible or difficult and acts as an effective way to reduce the number of people infected all over the world.

Debate Writing against the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children'.

 Q. Write a speech in about 120-150 words against the motion "Video Games Are Good For Children".

A.   VIDEO ARE GOOD FOR CHILDREN

Respected Chairperson, members of the jury and my worthy opponents.

I am Rohan and I stand before you to express my views against the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children.'

My arguments will be simple and straight. First of all, parents (some people) (Majority of people believe) think playing video games are wastage of time by children along with money and electricity. That they spend their time playing on computers for hours; which neglects their academic (studies) timetable also they go to school without HomeWork (H.W.). Secondly, It has many health hazards like (It affects children's health adversely.) (They get) (They may become a victim of) poor diet and eyesight, obesity, hypertension, lack of sleep and so on. My another argument against the video games is that children become hyperactive that they behave in a very violent, aggressive and destructive manner. My next argument is video games are a unnecessary pressure on parents. Children pressurise their parents to make them buy more and more cassettes of video games and play with them. They are far away from play grounds, outdoor games (activities), friends and social life (society). Following this, these games can be highly addictive because children are constantly given scores, new targets and frequent rewards to keep them playing. Futhermore, competition among children is also increased and they spend more and more hours daily to progress in their levels and to get a higher scores than their friends. Thereafter, most children try to intimate (copy) the acts as shown in games and put their life in danger and family in anxiety and tension. Moreover, there are some video games which becomes a reason for suicide by children e.g. blue whale. (Some of the games includes weird (अजीब) levels and in order to complete that level, they continue to perform that which the level ask them to do and they commit suicide also)

The need of the hour is to make aware the children regarding ill effects of video games. Some drive should be introduced, rallies should be organised or held, campaign should be strated or begin to decrease the interest of children in video games.

Thus, I would like to bring this debate to an end by opposing it.

Thank you!

Debate Writing in favour of the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children.'

 Q. Your school is organising a debate on the topic 'Video Games Are Good For Children'. You have to speak in favour of the motion. Write your speech in about 120-150 words.

VIDEO GAMES ARE GOOD FOR CHILDREN

Honorable Judges, Respected principal and My dear friends. A very Good Morning to all of you. Today I am here (stand here) to present my views in favour of video games are good for children.
There are slew (a large number) of reasons making me favour it. My first argument in support of the motion is that it is a good source of entertainment for children (and provide a break from their hectic schedule and burden of homework) admist the hectic schedule and burden of their school homework. It refreshes a child a lot and passes his time. Secondly, In my opinion, these (video games) improve the concentration level of children by reducing stress, depression and anxiety from them and hence acts as a powerful stress reliever (reducer) (buster) and helps in muscle coordination of children. Using brain, they play these games with their hands which maintain high level of coordination among their brain, hands and eye. In addition, these games develop problem solving and decision making skills among children and helps in improving their logical thinking, which their creativity and imagination and makes them multitasker. It is considered more exciting than real world. Moreover, winning or losing is an important part of any game. So, (therefore,) it prepares the children to face various academics (school related) competitions and to accept uncertain future challenges of life; which helps them to adapt (survive) in this highly competitive environment (world). Besides this, it improves the user's motor skills and help them to prepare for real world tasks such as flying a plane or drive a car. Finally/ eventually, (At last, I would like to bring my debate at end by saying that) video games keep the children busy which keeps them away from roming outside in the scorching heat of the sun in summers.
Therefore, In the light of above arguments, I whole heartedly support the motion video games are good for children.

Thank you !
