Good Morning, Respected principal, My worthy teachers and My dear friends. As you all know today we have gathered here to celebrate International Children's Book Day. So, I stand before you to express my views on (the topic) 'Benefits of Reading'.

Reading is very common hobby and a very good habit that everyone needs to develop in life. Books, magazine and newspapers became an important part of our life. It is rightly said that Reading is to mind, just as exercise is to body. It provides a lot of benefits to every human being. Initially, Reading (helps us to get knowledge, information and entertainment) is the best source of knowledge and entertainment. Reading (It) helps people to escape from their hectic schedule by forgetting our unpleasant surroundings. It provides a peace of mind both to intellectuals as well as average readers. Reading relieves the boredom and dullness from people's (our) life. The books are the best companions and sincere friends. So, never deserts (desist) the habit of reading. Reading is the most interesting and rewarding But we should be very careful in choosing (selecting) the books because if we go for cheap quality (qualitative) books, they can misguide us and spoil our career. Reading not only keeps us informed but also passes our time and refreshes our mind. Moreover, Reading books also increases our vocabulary and improves communication skills. In the end, Reading leads to learning so we should go for more and more reading.

Thankyou.

Debate Writing against the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children'.

 Q. Write a speech in about 120-150 words against the motion "Video Games Are Good For Children".

A.   VIDEO ARE GOOD FOR CHILDREN

Respected Chairperson, members of the jury and my worthy opponents.

I am Rohan and I stand before you to express my views against the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children.'

My arguments will be simple and straight. First of all, parents (some people) (Majority of people believe) think playing video games are wastage of time by children along with money and electricity. That they spend their time playing on computers for hours; which neglects their academic (studies) timetable also they go to school without HomeWork (H.W.). Secondly, It has many health hazards like (It affects children's health adversely.) (They get) (They may become a victim of) poor diet and eyesight, obesity, hypertension, lack of sleep and so on. My another argument against the video games is that children become hyperactive that they behave in a very violent, aggressive and destructive manner. My next argument is video games are a unnecessary pressure on parents. Children pressurise their parents to make them buy more and more cassettes of video games and play with them. They are far away from play grounds, outdoor games (activities), friends and social life (society). Following this, these games can be highly addictive because children are constantly given scores, new targets and frequent rewards to keep them playing. Futhermore, competition among children is also increased and they spend more and more hours daily to progress in their levels and to get a higher scores than their friends. Thereafter, most children try to intimate (copy) the acts as shown in games and put their life in danger and family in anxiety and tension. Moreover, there are some video games which becomes a reason for suicide by children e.g. blue whale. (Some of the games includes weird (अजीब) levels and in order to complete that level, they continue to perform that which the level ask them to do and they commit suicide also)

The need of the hour is to make aware the children regarding ill effects of video games. Some drive should be introduced, rallies should be organised or held, campaign should be strated or begin to decrease the interest of children in video games.

Thus, I would like to bring this debate to an end by opposing it.

Thank you!

Debate Writing in favour of the motion 'Video Games Are Good For Children.'

 Q. Your school is organising a debate on the topic 'Video Games Are Good For Children'. You have to speak in favour of the motion. Write your speech in about 120-150 words.

VIDEO GAMES ARE GOOD FOR CHILDREN

Honorable Judges, Respected principal and My dear friends. A very Good Morning to all of you. Today I am here (stand here) to present my views in favour of video games are good for children.
There are slew (a large number) of reasons making me favour it. My first argument in support of the motion is that it is a good source of entertainment for children (and provide a break from their hectic schedule and burden of homework) admist the hectic schedule and burden of their school homework. It refreshes a child a lot and passes his time. Secondly, In my opinion, these (video games) improve the concentration level of children by reducing stress, depression and anxiety from them and hence acts as a powerful stress reliever (reducer) (buster) and helps in muscle coordination of children. Using brain, they play these games with their hands which maintain high level of coordination among their brain, hands and eye. In addition, these games develop problem solving and decision making skills among children and helps in improving their logical thinking, which their creativity and imagination and makes them multitasker. It is considered more exciting than real world. Moreover, winning or losing is an important part of any game. So, (therefore,) it prepares the children to face various academics (school related) competitions and to accept uncertain future challenges of life; which helps them to adapt (survive) in this highly competitive environment (world). Besides this, it improves the user's motor skills and help them to prepare for real world tasks such as flying a plane or drive a car. Finally/ eventually, (At last, I would like to bring my debate at end by saying that) video games keep the children busy which keeps them away from roming outside in the scorching heat of the sun in summers.
Therefore, In the light of above arguments, I whole heartedly support the motion video games are good for children.

Thank you !

Subject: Illegal encroachment of footpaths                      and roads

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards the increasing problem of illegal encroachment of footpaths and roads by shop owners and vendors.

Roadside encroachment by shopkeepers and vendors is very common these (now a) days. It has become a menace. We have been watching this position for a long time. Generally, Roads and footpaths are meant for public or peddlers and hawkers but they are blocked by the various types of goods and materials by the shopkeepers. These are used by shopkeepers as extensions of their shops and showrooms. It creates a lot of problems and difficulties for others. It causes traffic jams as well as accidents because these encroachment block the view of traffic. People unaware of such materials slip and fall. Moreover, some of them even get a bone fracture.

Now, it is a time to (curb this menace) take necessary actions against shop owners or vendors. The authorities should impose heavy fines on them. If the problem still persists, the authority should seize/ confiscate (जब्त) the material lying on the roadside besides imposing heavy fines.

I hope that my letter will get an appropriate space in your esteemed newspaper.

Yours faithfully

Raman

Article Writing on Nature Conversation.

 Q. You are Jayant/Jayanti. You feel quite distressed to see that man has been cutting trees indiscriminately for centuries to fulfil his selfish interests. Increasing urbanisation, rapid industrialisation and growing population are leading to depletion of natural resources, hence, threatening the survival of mankind. You decide to write an article for your school magazine highlighting the views on the need to conserve nature. Taking ideas from the unit 'Environment' and using your own ideas, write an article in about 100-150 words on the topic 'Nature Conservation'.

A.               NATURE CONSERVATION

                                    By: Jayant

Conservation means the protection, preservation, management or restoration of wildlife and natural resources. The main focus is to maintain the health of the natural World, its fisheries, habitats and biological diversities.

Today the World is facing the problem of global warming and the reason for this is the bad habits of human beings like deforestation, burning of fossils fuel etc. The result is that many of animals have become extinct and some of them are at the the verge of extinction. We need to save our flora and fauna. Due to Man's carelessness the ecological balance has been disturbed.

If we do not conserve our nature our own existence will be in danger as man is directly or indirectly dependent on nature. So it becomes the duty of every individual to conserve the nature and its resources so that we can make this planet a beautiful place to live in.

Article Writing on 'Man's Contribution in Natural Disaster.'

 Q. You are Rohit Roy. Write an article on 'Man's Contribution in Natural Disaster' to be published in your school magazine.

 MAN'S CONTRIBUTION IN NATURAL DISASTER

                                                  - Rohit Roy

In today's world there has been a rapid growth in population level. Due to this there occurs a lot of needs and requirements of people. As for shelter they need furniture, for clothing native needs cotton, wool etc. For fulfilling their food requirements they again depends upon nature. But above all they need land, raw material for establishing their work in business sector, educational sector or in any other field as they depend on nature for one or the other thing.

But today people are so eager to become rich or successful that they are using nature gifted to us by god ruthlessly. This in turn is causing an imbalance in environment. As due to continuous deforestation the effect of global warming is increasing. This also results in causing a disturbance in all natural elements like floods are occuring in water, earthquake causes imbalance of land due to which land sliding are occuring. Tsunamis and cyclones too are occuring due to imbalance in sea levels. These are in a way being unpredictable but the root cause behind these are the activities performed by human beings which causes a lot of harm to environment. So we human beings should not just be destroyer of our nature but should take certain steps to become savers of our nature too.

As it is nature which gives us a lot of beautiful things. So in return it is our duty or responsibility to save our mother Earth from getting destroyed by natural disaster.

Article Writing on Bullet Train in India.

  Q. India is going to introduce bullet train. Should we introduce bullet train ?

   Bullet Train In India

                                                    By: Rahul

Our Prime Minister has promised to introduced bullet train in India during election. The bullet train is known as high speed trains of Japan. India has one of the largest rail network in the world but doesn't have speed rail lines capable of supporting speed of 200km/h or more. High speed corridors have been proposed but not implemented. No doubt, bullet train project is very beneficial for all. It has many advantages. Due to its speed one can save time. The journey will become short in the busy life of people. It will give relief to the travellers as it provides all the comforts. It is suitable and comfortable for all. But at the same time, it has many limitations. It is not possible to introduce it in India as it will create a problem for all. No doubt, bullet trains are imperative to railway's growth. Bullet train project is very costly and India doesn't have too much financial resources to invest in bullet trains. Double tracks are necessary for the entire length and fail safe. Safety measures have to be place  before bullet trains on rails. Bullet are alien for railway engineers. The project cost is near Rs. 60000 crore. The railway tracks cannot hold bullet trains. The fastest train in India is Shatabi. It is not possible for bullet trains to be introduce. Firstly, railway tracks should be changed and made according to the bullet train. Thus, this project can be implemented in this way.

OR

High speed Bullet trains seems to be one of the transport method of future for many countries across the world. We can see that in Japan it has been for years. But now the question arises whether Bullet trains be the savior or will it be just a source of burden on the economic budget of country.
People who are in favour of bullet trains are of the view that these trains will reduce traffic burdens, provide an environmental benefit by reducing the pollution and help to create more jobs. people will be able to cover large distance easily through bullet train. This will in a way reduce traffic congestion. It will provide jobs to many unemployed. So the travelling will become easier and cheaper as Bullet train will only benefit only the community.
But on the other hand, some people are of view that high speed Bullet train will only eat up the budget of a country providing no real rewards. As it is observed that in developed countries like America more people opt for freedom offered by personal automobiles rather than taking trains. Some people also claim about prices of railway tickets being too expensive for many people who travel in trains regularly. People can say that government rather than spending on Bullet trains should use that fund to improve the present state of transportation infrastructure.
So, we are in a confusion that whether Bullet train will be a boon for developing country like India or a curse for our country.

Speech writing for class 8th on 'Good deeds reflects good character'.

 Q. Write a speech to be delivered on the morning assembly of your school on the topic 'Good deeds reflects good character'

GOOD DEEDS REFLECTS GOOD CHARACTER.

Respected Principal, worthy teachers and  My dear friends. Today I stand before you to express my views on the topic 'Goods deeds reflects good character'.

Gandhiji had rightly said that, "If money is lost something is lost, But if character is lost everything is lost". Good deeds always reflects one's character. Some people try to do something different to impress others, which is very wrong. We need to be humble and polite. If we are kind, generous, helpful; our beautiful character is reviewed. We should always mind our words and actions. If a person behaves rudely, it shows her arrogance. We almost understand that we all live in deeds not in years. So, we should try to do good deeds so that we can leave a strong impact on the minds of the people. Hence, it is important that we should develop good character and do good deeds so that we can be remembered.

Thankyou!

Q. You are Arun/Savita, a student of class IX. You have to prepare a speech to be delivered in the morning assembly of your school on the topic 'Good deeds reflect a good character' highlighting the qualities of being a noble and a considerate soul which would ultimately help in building an ideal society.
