Debate in favour of the motion 'There Should Be No Uniform In Schools'.

 Q. The Speaker’s Forum of your school is organising a debate on the motion: ‘There Should Be No Uniform In Schools.’ Prepare a Speech in favour of the motion in not more than 150 words. 

THERE SHOULD BE NO UNIFORM IN SCHOOLS.

Respected principal, Honorable member of jury, teachers and My dear friends.
I have the previlege (opportunity अवसर) of standing before you to speak in favour of the motion “There should be no uniform in schools.”

I’m sure you will agree with me when I present my arguments before you.
My first argument in favour of the motion is that we all have the quality of uniqueness and the right to make personal choices to express our personality. Uniform take away this right. It also violates a student’s right to freedom of expression. It is an inability for the students to express him/herself. 

Secondly, Think about poor. Poor students cannot afford as many uniforms or as nice as rich students have. So, they come to school wearing dirty or shabby uniforms as it seems it is very expensive for them. It acts as a financial burden for poor families. It is considered as unnecessary and wasteful expenditure for majority of parents. What’s more, There is no good evidence that links school uniforms to improve results. It is only the problem that schools have with children wearing colourful dresses.

Till now, There is no proper research that shows (proves) that introducing uniform cuts crime in schools. Moreover, Forcing the children to wear uniforms can ignore their religious and cultural needs. The dress code might go against a student's religion.

Rules and regulations, I would strongly argue that schools waste a lot of time to enforce uniform rules. It does not serve any purpose in schools.

Another argument against wearing uniform is that the school staff is more focused on correcting or controlling the way students dressed than actual teaching, which affects their results. (their performance in examination) 

In the end, I would strongly recommend that there should be no uniform in schools.

How to save tigers

 Q.  In the survey report it has been found that only 1411 tigers are left in India. It shows that a large number of tigers jave been killed illegally. The government and other several agencies have come forward to save the tigers. As a member of one agency, write an article in above 120 words on “How to save tiger.”

HOW TO SAVE TIGERS

The tiger is regarded (known) as the national animal of India. But it is the matter of a grave (serious) concern that population of tigers have been decreasing continuously over the number of years (over the period of time). The recent survey reveals that only 1411 tigers are left in India, which shows that they are on the verge of extinction.

First of all (At first), As we all know that Food is the basic requirement of one's to be alive. So, There must be proper food requirement available for tigers for their survival. Besides this, many people kil tigers to sell products made of tiger's skin, fur, teeth etc. So, we must discourage the poachers and put a ban on the products made of tiger parts (ban on these products)

Similarly, we must not degrade the environment i.e. (that is) we must not cut trees (We must stop deforestation) and protect forests to safeguard tiger's habitat. If tigers go extinct, the entire ecosystem would collapse (disbalanced, disturbed) and food chain will become imbalance (break). Inspite that, efforts should be made to shift villages away from the tiger's habitats. Furthermore, cruelty to animals must be stopped in circuses. 

Government should come forward to take some stringent (strict) steps to save them (tigers) and also make people aware regarding saving the tigers. Wildlife laws should be properly enforced and implemented well. Strict punishment should be given to those who will try to harm the tigers. Some more tiger reserves must (should) be established. Government had initiated an initiative 'Project tiger' in 1973 to save and protect (maintain) the tiger population in their natural habitat. Last but not the least, teach others about the threats (that our national animal) they face. Talk to friends and family. As people learn more about tigers, they will try harder to save (protect) them. Money should be raised for tiger conservation organization and support these organisations and researchers who are working to save the tigers. Save the tiger fund should be encouraged.

Go Out and spread the words that tigers are dying (disappearing) and they need our help.

But at the same time he/she feels that growing population is a boon for a country as it adds human resource. Write an article on “Population Growth- Threats and opportunities.”

POPULATION GROWTH- THREATS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Population growth simply refers to the growth in the number of persons living in a particular area during a particular (specified) period of time say; during the last five years. Birth rate(increasing), death rate (decreasing) and migration from one area to another are the major components of population growth. 

Population growth is a major (the greatest) threat that our nation is facing today. It is affecting our quality of life. It gives rise to a number of problems. More and more people will bring more and more poverty and miseries. The growing population is constantly degrading or destroying the environment. Forests and green belt areas are gradually disappearing, which has negative impact on the environment.

Furthermore (Moving further), It is one of the key threats to the environment that can be in different forms such as soil erosion, climate change, deforestation, waste in various forms, over utilisation of natural resources, emissions of green house gases, which contributes to climate change. It destroys the habitats of various other living creatures which results in the loss of biodiversity which has also disturbed the whole food chain. Hence, almost all environmental issues are either directly or indirectly related to population.

Moreover, our resources are limited. So, it also can creates the shortage of seats in educational colleges and universities etc. and causes problems like starvation, illiteracy, exploitation of masses, unemployment, increase in the number of crimes (increase in crime rate, rate of crime), increase in poverty etc. Additionally A rapid and continuous increase in population has led to overcrowding of places, development of slums, shortage of water and power supply, huge traffic jams apart from various other problems. Pollution level and living conditions are becoming bad to worse. Also, demand in markets has risen due to which prices of necessities increases, resulting in inflation.

On the contrary to it, (Nevertheless, ऐसा होने पर भी)(However,)(In contrast,) overpopulation ( population growth) provides a lot of opportunities to many people. It adds to the human resource of a country, which is considered as its greatest asset. It will increase the productive capacity of an economy; which enhance economic growth and improves the standard of living of people. Furthermore, It also gives rise to the improvement in various fields such as, industrial, medical and agricultural.

As the threats of population growth overweight its opportunities. It has done more harm than good. So, the government should come forward to take the initiative to control it by providing various facilities to one child families, creating awareness about various birth control methods and make this nation the best place.

Importance of vacations.

 Q.  Think about it; how do you feel when you are planning a vacation? you feel excited and happy. Your stress becomes less and it affects your work in a positive way.  IMPORTANCE OF VACATIONS 

Respected Principal, My worthy teachers and my dear friends. A very good morning to all of you. Today I stand before you to share my views on 'Importance of vacations'. 

Vacation is the best phase of one's life. Switching out from our regime can provide better physical and psychological health. Taking a break from routine life motivates us (provide more motivation) to achieve goals. It gives us a relieve from our job and reduces stress and gives a better outlook on our life. Moreover, its a time to spend quality time with the family and peers (friends) which also provides great opportunities to create long-lasting bonds and positive memories. Even, vacations helps to enhance the inner talent that everyone beholds and through this one can improve their productivity as it helps to gain more and better experience in one's talents. It is the only time to explore nature which improves our focus, vision and concentration. Similarly, it broadens our perspective ( देखने का नजरिया) and various activities can be performed by looking forward. Inspite, it is a time to have a lots of fun and enjoy as it makes people to feel happier. It gives numerous fond memories to cherish by having a glimpse ( झलक)(look or see for a short time) over it. Taking vacation is good for our health and we truly get relax and lower our stress. Additionally, it helps in preventing many illnesses. For instance, less risk of heart diseases, most people get rid off insomonia, etc. It makes a person well-being and makes us feel excited and happy and motivates us to live our life in an optimistic way.
