Letter to editor concerning hoarding of food items by individuals and appealing them to rise above selfish interest during lockdown due to COVID-19.
Q. You are Aditiya/Aditi, you saw in the news out of sheer (total, pure, सरासर) panic, people have started hoarding food items. Not only individuals but retailers and wholesalers are also taking advantage of crisis. You are disgusted ( निराश, Hopeless, unhappy) at this attitude. Write a letter to the editor of a national daily expressing your concern and appealing to the citizens to rise above selfish interest, keeping the nation in mind, at this critical (सकंटपूर्ण) juncture (समय) of lockdown due to the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Sir
Sub : Hoarding of food items during lockdown.
Through one of the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to share my concern about hoarding food items during the COVID-19 crisis.
The whole world is under the COVID-19 crisis. There is a lockdown in the whole country. Production is not taking place in the factories. Many People have lost their jobs. They have no food to eat. Authorities are doing their best. They are providing daily use items to the needy. But, shopkeepers have started hoarding food items out of the total panic. Even retailers and wholesellers have also started hoarding food items to sell it at higher prices at the time of scarcity.
This covid crisis cannot be tackled by the government alone. All people should come forward and help each other. Through this column, I make an earnest appeal to the citizens to rise above selfish interest at this critical juncture of lockdown due to COVID-19 virus.
Yours truly
Aditya
