Role of students in conservation of environment.

Q. Nature has enough for man's need but not enough for man's greed. It is imperative to understand that the earth is our home and it is our responsibility to take care of it for ourselves and the generations to come. Using the hints given below, prepare a speech to be delivered in the school assembly highlighting the “Role of Students in Conservation of Environment”.
Hints:
• Reduce waste
• Avoid wastage of paper
• Conserve existing resources
• Turn off electrical appliances when not in use
• Use non-toxic cleaners
• Use biodegradable products

Respected Principal, Worthy teachers and My dear friends. Today I am going to express my views on the topic: Role of students in conservation of environment.

"Each one plant one"
"Plant more breath more"
"Save water save life"
At the walls of the towns this is what you see. The News headlines highlight the pressing concerns of the environment such as global warming, deforestation, pollution, Bio diversity loss, climate change and so on.

There is no doubt that conserving environment is the need of the hour.
Students can play a major (an effective) role in conversation of environment. They can employ various techniques to conserve the environment. They can follow (implement) 3Rs of the environment and waste management i.e Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. They make their endeavour to reduce the usage of plastics, such as poly bags, which is the threat to both environment and animals. They should save paper as far as possible, helping in saving the hundreds of trees in the country. To say is, Wastage of paper should be avoided by them. The bio degradable products should be promoted by them among masses. They should encourage the use of eco friendly products to make the environment clean and green. Trees are the lungs of the city. They can protest against deforestation. They educate the society about the role played by trees in the environment. Trees are considered as non toxic cleaners, which cleans the air and make the environment of surrounding healthy.

The most importantly, they should conserve the resources available with them for future generations. such as, electricity, by turning off electrical appliances when not in use, save non-renewable resources as coal, petroleum and natural gas, by minimising or limit their usage. Students can also popularise the use of e-vehicles in the society to reduce pollution. Only their sincere and dedicated efforts can help in conservation of environment.

Let us channelise, organise and utilize the students for saving environment.

Thank you.

INDIAN ARMY – OUR PROTECTORS
- BY: RAHUL

Since the British days, Indian army plays an indispensable role in protecting the nation and its citizens. They fulfill their duties by being present all the times on the borders defeat the aliens entering to nation. Protectors, protect the citizens of their country (without worrying about their own lives.) irrespective of their own life. They are present 24x7 on the borders for the sake of the country. They make a lot of sacrifices to keep us safe and always ready for wars to maintain peace in the country.

The sacrifices made by them are unimaginable. The major sacrifice made by them is being away from their families and miss them too much. But fulfil their responsibilities towards their country at top priority for longer hours without any extra pay. Their life is always at risk. They get injured, hurt or even fatal. And sometimes they have to fight even in injured condition. They have to give up their own choices, desires or even their own life for the sake of protecting the nation. They are deprived of celebrating festivals, attending birthdays, marriages, their loved ones success, anyone illness or demise. Their families are eagerly waiting for their safe return.

So, we can say that Indian army is our real protectors who protects us from attacks by enemy countries. We should always be thankful for them to have peace in the country as well as we should be the supporter and coordinate them to maintain peace in country. We should visit them on festivals so that they do not feel loneliness. After all, it is the Indian army that is responsible for our independent nation.

The seed of achievement lies in the human mind'.

Q. "Disability does not mean inability". Our country has witnessed innumerable number of heroic personalities, who despite their disabilities have achieved success. It in turn displays the fact that in order to achieve anything all we need is courage and determination. Taking ideas from the unit "Achievers" and using your own ideas write a speech to be delivered in the school assembly on the topic "The seed of Achievement lies in the Human Mind" (120-150 words). You are Namit/Namita.

ACHIEVEMENT LIES IN HUMAN MIND

Respected Teachers and dear friends.

Everyone wants to achieve something in life. However, inspite of their disabilities, they are unable to work hard and they lose their hope and consider themselves as failures. In fact, it is their mind not body or physique that conceive various ideas. Human mind is considered as the most important part of the body that orders other organs to move immediately. As we sow a seed in soil that grows in a tree. In the same way, Our achievements also are depend on our mind that what it thinks, how and In what direction it takes the words and movements (the reactions and attitudes) of others.

In order to achieve something, we have to make constant efforts and practise regularly. We should learn from our failures. We should have a positive outlook towards our life. To say is, we should have an arm's distance from the negative and demotivated people. We have to enhance our thinking capability and change vision of our life. That one should focus to ahead further in life by learning from past experiences one should learn and grab new opportunities instead of kneeling down and getting demotivated from past experiences.

Stephen Hawking, Helen Keller, Thomas Elva Edison, Einstein, Our freedom fighters and so on. Have you all ever heard these names ?? These are some famous personalities with disability who achieve something, who did marvellous job in their respective fields. At last, We should be courageous enough to face the challenges to achieve our goals. If we have courage and determination, we can achieve anything in life. As rightly said by our beloved former President of India Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, "Never complain about the difficulties in life, Because a director (God) always gives the hardest roles to his best Actors".

Thank you.

Globalization and it's effects

 Q. World today has seen the emergence of a global market due to increased connectivity. It has led to various multinational companies opening up in India and in other developing nations. This is an era of globalisation which has brought many changes around us. Write an article in about 100-120 words on 'Globalisation and its Effects'. You are Naman/Namisha.

Globalisation and its effects
- By: Naman

Globalisation means linking the economy of a country with the economies of other countries by means of free trade, capital and movement of persons across the borders. The ultimate aim of globalisation is to look upon the world as a 'global village'. It has become very important for an economy to develop connections with rest of the world. This results in an unrestricted flow of goods and services, capital, people, technology and expertise among different countries of the world.

It has significantly (in an important manner) increased the foreign trade in the India by adopting various policies. This has increased the GDP of our country. As a consequence of globalisation, there has been a considerable increase in foreign investments in India. There is an significant improvement in our foreign exchange reserves. It has promoted collaboration of foreign companies with many Indian companies.

Further, globalisation has expanded the size of market. It has permitted Indian business units to expand their business all over the world. Now, multinational companies have no national boundaries. Indian companies are also doing their business in many countries.

Globalisation has helped to promote the use of branded products, which led to quality improvement. It has enabled the flow of foreign technology which is very superior and advanced. It has also developed the markets of the nation. There has been tremendous improvement in various services like insurance, banking etc.and Electronics like Mobile phones, LCDS, LEDS in the country.

Globalisation has increased employment opportunities for Indians by establishing various production and trading units of foreign nation, which has reduced the brain drain to the large extent. Moreover, the standard of living of the Indian population has improved. They are getting many products at reduced prices.

But every coin has two coins. Globalisation has some negative effects. There has been a huge loss to domestic companies. Due to increased use of capital intensive technology, employment opportunities have reduced. Small and cottage industries are affected adversely. There is a negative effect on Indian culture and value system. Production of prohibited goods are taking place in order to earn more profits. Global companies drain talented persons of India to other nations.

So, it is very essential to make wise conscious choices and maintain a healthy balance in the country. we need to chennelize our focus on the positive effects of globalisation and constantly cope with the negative effects.

Changing neighborhood

Q. Write an article in about 120 words on the topic “Changing Neighborhood.” You are Ankit/Ankita.
In your article you should
1. describe some important changes that you notice in your neighborhood- better transport, better homes, new shopping malls, more traffic, more crowd, more crime, less greenery
2. say how relationships between neighbours are also changing- greater distancing, lack of fellow-feeling, less interaction, less cooperation etc. [CLASS VII BBC COMPACTA]

CHANGING NEIGHBORHOOD
- By: Ankit

(A neighborhood is one of the parts of a town where people live.) Neighborhood is the surrounding of the place where one lives. It is a place where people live and interact with each other. The people living in our neighborhood are our neighbours. Change is the law of nature. (Change is inevitable.) Life goes through a continuous process of change and neighbourhood is no exception.  Since the decades, there has been many changes in  my neighborhood. It has changed completely.

To commence with, the major change occured in neighbourhoods is the development of better homes of people. They have designed their homes with increased and advanced facilities such as modular kitchen and modern or sophisticated gadgets. Every family member prefer its own personal vehicle as per era which has increased traffic on road and thus pollution level arrived at peak and lush green gardens are at its end. Moreover, there is an improvement in public transport system such as electronic vehicles are gaining importance day by day. People have now better transport facilities in their neighborhood to commute from one place to another.

Population has increased manifold, which makes the neighbourhoods more crowdy. As a result, the demands of the product increases which leads to the rise of industries and thus, forests and greenery are gradually disappearing. Furthermore, open spaces are used up at very great pace. More and more complex shopping malls are gaining popularity with each passing day. Thousands of malls are set up daily from the low priced items to the high one or from the luxury items to the necessity.

Another change occurs in neighbourhood is that the crime has increased manifold. Even in crime case their neighbours play a major role. Criminals in neighbourhoods have increased in leaps and bounds. Moreover, Neighbours have become more and more materialistic.

Due to materialistic nature of neighbourers, the relationship among them is changing. There is greater distancing between two neighbours living to their next door. People take their neighbours as troublesome for them. Fellow feeling among them is getting vanishing with each passing day. They are becoming insensitive, pitilessness to people living in their locality. They don't like to interact, socialize anymore. Their nature have become non cooperative.

Thus, So, we must welcome the innovative changes and discards unfavorable change from our neighborhoods. And we need to be proactive (ready before something happens) for any unfavorable change in our neighborhood.

The social strata are changing and the gap between the rich and the poor is becoming wider, the rich are becoming richer and the poor are becoming poorer. What do you think are the causes of this problem and suggest solutions to tackle it.
