IMPACT OF OVERPOPULATION

- By: Rohan

In our contemporary world, problem of overpopulation has increased in [leaps and bounds (बहुत बड़ी मात्रा मे)]. It is not only a problem but also an ailment for people as cancer. The recent census (an official numbering of population) (The census figures)reveals that population has been increasing frequently over the years.

Overpopulation has tremendous impact   over the globe. It is not only an issue but all of the issues are attach to this problem. Overpopulation leads to overcrowding which means poor quality of life. Universally speaking, as the result of overpopulation, there is a sharp decline in the natural resources such as more land is exploited that is to say that more industrialisation and urbanization being searched up, consequently there is a continuous loss of agricultural land and depletion of natural resources. Deforestation has become the major concern, which leads to the global warming and climate in crises. Thus, there is huge loss to biodiversity.

Another impact of over population is the degradation of the environment. As due to increased population, more and more industries are being set up which is polluting the environment and marine as industries wastes are dumped into water. Rise in number of people on the earth is giving rise to number of vehicles on the roads which causes air and noise pollution to great extent.

As it is well said that more and more people will bring more miseries and poverty. Increase in population also mean decrease in the standard of living of people such lack of education or illiteracy, poor health facilities, rise in prices of basic amenities of life.

So, The Government, organisations and the other authorities should join their hands to reduce population otherwise the whole world will suffer one day.

Indian labour's life during lockdown

By: Rohit

The life of a laborer is very hard. He has to work from morning to evening to earn his own bread and butter. He works in shops, factories,  in severe cold as well as in the heat of summer. He gets no comforts in life. He also has to leave his families in search of job.

labour is the most vulnerable one in any situation. During lockdown due to COVID, the life of labourers became very pathetic. Their workplaces had completely closed down as per the orders of government. They had to face a lot of difficulties. They have no food to eat, no water to drink, no shed or roof to spend  night. So, they decided to migrate their own village to unite their families. On their way also they had to suffer many problems.  Due to lockdown, There was no means of transport for them to arrive their destinations. They moved to their houses on foot. Consequently, their future become uncertain.

Although later government has arranged transport facility for them yet their problems would not completely solved but they benefitted. we need to be sensitive towards farmers.

So, the labour's life during lockdown is full of struggles and challenges. May god give them strength to face these struggles and challenges.

Why a majority of students hate history?

Q. Write an article for your school magazine describing why a majority of students hate studying history and how the subject can be made interesting for them..

HISTORY: A HATING SUBJECT

History is one of the important subjects taught and studied at all levels of education since ages. The word History to put it simply means the story of mankind. It refers to the study of past events, particularly human affairs.

Students consider history as the worst subject in their curriculum. Majority of them hate it. There are so many reasons behind hating this subject. Predominantly, it is tedious (boring) to learn dates, names of people and places which are not even useful in everyday life. Also, it is just about dead people. Another reason is that history lays emphasis on text reading. It has theoretical base only. There is no practicality in it rather it is just the memorization of people, places and dates. And this is not useful and relevant in modern era or student's entire lifetime.

It is the need of the hour to make history an interesting subject for the students. History classes should be conducted in a interesting way. Textbooks should contain diagrams, flowchart, pitchers, and head points so that students can understand and remember the topics very conveniently. Schools should organise trips to ancient museums to make students learn about past which is very knowledgeable and such museums also highlights tradition and culture of the country. Through this, such traditions can be handed over to the future generations.

Thus, History should be teach in fun and practical way so that students (do not hate this subject anymore.)don't find it boring anymore.

A day without TV Article

 Q. How do you feel if you were to spend a day without TV? Express your views in the form of an article in about 150 words. You may like to use the hints given below:

Boring life- no entertainment- no way to pass time- no knowledge, no news, no current affairs, no TV games, no live matches, no favourite programmes, films or music- life unimaginable- partial cut down possible but not total ban         OR

Interesting life- no more ads  and commercial breaks- more time for family, friends and studies- more fun in outdoor activities and sports- better health and fitness- no scolding from mother/father- the sooner it is switched off the better.

A Day Without T.V.  (1st option)
By: .......

In today's world, technology plays an important role in our lives. Our life depends on the modern gadgets such as computer, T.V, mobiles, laptops etc. TV is considered as widely used means of entertainment all over the world.

To begin with, a life without it is unimaginable and boring particularly during vacations. There will be no entertainment too far. People don't have no knowledge about what is going around them. They are also unable to know about the news on various subjects. They are not familiar with the current affairs too.
Sports loving persons are unable to watch the live matches of their respective games. Excitement of knowing scores of their country would no more.

If there is no availability of tv people will not be able to watch their favourite  programmes, films or music. Also children are not able to play TV games.  It is difficult for them to pass their leisure time. They keep buzzing like files.

Consequently, their behaviour becomes irritating, angry and have minds full of tension and anxiety. People will sleep in their free time and become lazy with each passing day.

Thus, we can limit the use of T.V in our life. Its partial cut down is possible but its total ban from our lives is impossible. We hardly find sewing machine in every home, whereas there is no home without television.

OR

A Day without TV (IInd option)

Long gone are the days when ( TV sets were a rare luxury but today TV has become an indispensable (जो हटा नहीं सकते)  part of our life.) people used to live without electronic gadgets but today  their houses are full of these gadgets and T.V. is the most common and popular among them.

Without TV, our life will become very interesting. We can save much time and utilised in various beneficial activities. If there is no T.V., we can spend more time with family and friends. We can explore our past items or can improve our mistakes which we had done earlier.

Not only that, we can spend our time in exploring the nature. Students can concentrate more on their studies. They can improve their academic results. They go for outing and take part in various competitions held in their schools. They are not being scolded by their parents too. In order to get more fun and better health and fitness, they start taking active participation in outdoor activities and sports.

There will not be ads and commercial breaks. We need not rely on the false advertisements displayed by various companies and organisations. We ourselves go to the Market and buy the genuine products at reasonable rates.

Moreover, the more vulgar activites are presented which affects the child behaviour. That is to say that People are watching more crime and violent scenes which makes them to do same in their real life.

Thus, it is well said the sooner it is switched off the better.

Education system is becoming advanced day by day. Passing through various thick and thin (through difficult times) now a days education system is touching the heights. To reach that heights, various tools are used such as self study, 100% success, exam idea, success key etc. Their significant role is increasing day by day in the academic field.

FESTIVAL THAT I CELEBRATED RECENTLY

By: Rohan

India is the land of festivals. There are various festivals are being celebrated here. Recently I celebrated holi with my family, friends and neighbours on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the end of winter. We started this festival one night before with Holika Dahan.

Interestingly, The story behind celebrating this festival is that the son of hiranyakashyap, Prahalad was forced to worship his own father but he refused to do so. His father became very angry and decided to kill his own son by various means. One of the means of killing his son through his aunt holika, by placing both in fire as she was given a boon to remain unharmed from fire. Fortunately, prahlad was saved. However, Holika (his aunt) was burnt. From that day, people celebrate Holika Dahan to remain healthy and happy by burning their sins. And the next morning, they celebrate colourful holi to show their happiness.

On the first day, we all assembled in the evening. we light a bonfire. ladies made sweet chapattis over it. Everone pray for their goodness. We went to our homes and slept.

On the next morning, All ladies of my neighborhood went to temple. We all assemble in the street of our neighborhood with colours, water buckets, water guns and water balloons. People started dancing and filling colours on each other. Children threw balloons on everyone and outsiders. Some teenagers threw balloons, water and colours from the roof on them. Outsiders got confused on where the balloons, water and colours come from. After sometime we all had breakfast at our houses and come back.

In reality, this festival should be celebrated with natural colours. Alternatively, We can use tumeric, flour, flowers as substitutes of colours to play holi.

Everyone felt very happy. We enjoyed very much. This holi become memorial for all of us.

 Q. As part of the Road Safety Week, your school is organising a declamation contest. Your teacher has given you the topic "Road Safety for Pedestrians". Taking ideas from the following points and together with your own ideas, write your speech in about 150 words.

1. Don't play near road

2. Don't run across the road

3. Obey traffic signals

4. Cross at Zebra crossing

5. Do not get in or off a moving bus

Essentials for an accident free ride

1. Discipline

2. Alertness

3. Respect for other road users [6th BBC COMPACTA]

ROAD SAFETY FOR PEDESTRIANS

Respected Principal, My worthy teachers and Dear friends. Today I am going to share my views on 'Road Safety For Pedestrians'.

Pedestrian is the most important part of traffic & are at a greater risk. Road accidents are increasing in today's world at a faster rate. The biggest problem is at crosswalks pedestrians are not be really safe. Pedestrians are not just walkers,  travel on foot they are people doing all kinds of activities, for example Bikers, Joggers, Roller bladers/roller skaters, Skateboarders, Walkers etc are the most vulnerable (able to be easily hurt, influenced or attacked) of those who use roads.

For this reason, they should be very well protected. In order to remain safe, pedestrians should inherit the habit of using road infrastructure properly.  Subways, Zebra Crossings, foot over bridges should be used to cross the road. Short cuts and easy options of crossing roads are dangerous and should not be preferred. One should walk with care and with all sense and look around on coming traffic. We must avoid crossing road where drivers may not be able to see you. In addition, we should wait for suitable gap in the traffic flow before crossing the road. & never jump over the divider railings, you may lose temper due to over traffic.

Children are more sensitive to the dangers of road. Moreover,  It is not only the drivers of the vehicles who cause accidents but carelessness of children and lack of awareness which add up the cause of accidents on road. Always hold hands of children while crossing the road. Teach your child to walk on footpath, encourage them to use subways, zebra crossing etc. Teach them to look at your right, left and right again and make sure that  no vehicle is coming and then walk and cross the road. If you will do the right thing on road, your child will follow you and will remain safe in traffic.

Furthermore, people should avoid using roads for morning walks and jogging. They must take extra care if they are crossing the road on or near a curve. Pedestrians should not use parking areas to cross the road. And don't think that crossing road by the shortest and  direct route reduces your time on road.

To sum it up, everyone must follow the road rules.

Thank you

How To Curb The Spread of COVID-19.

 Q. These days you read much about corona disease in news paper. As Principal of your school you have decided to deliver a speech  on how to curb the spread of covid-19 in an online class. Write your speech in about 150-200 words  You are Sukriti/Sushpal.

How To Curb The Spread of COVID-19

Dear students

Today I am going to talk on how to curb the spread of covid-19.

Covid-19 is one of the most deadly virus or disease found in china and whole world is under its trap. It is a communicable disease and can cause an epidemic. This disease sometimes proves fatal, especially in the crowdy places (in the crowd).

Covid spreads through droplets produced when an infected person coughs sneezes or speaks. It transmitted through air. Covid generally begins with one person and then spreads rapidly in the whole locality.

If unluckily a person feels a symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) of covid he should immediately quarantine himself so that it can be prevented from spreading at the right time and inform the local health authorities about the case. One can prevent the outbreak (unwelcome) of Corona Virus by taking some measures.

To protect yourself, strictly follow the lockdown imposed by the government.  clean your hands with handwash, soaps and sanitizers thoroughly and frequently. Always put the mask and carry sanitizers while going out of home. It is advised to drink decoction काढ़ा 2-3 times a day and include cinnamon दालचीनी, tumeric, black pepper, licorice mulethi, tulsi leaves in regular regime (diet).

Even after taking these precautions, if one catches the virus, he should (immediately consult the doctor.) be taken to the doctor immediately and should be treated property. Remember 'Prevention is better than cure'. Prevention of covid-19 is as much in the hands of people as in the hands of the government or municipality. So, take no risk.

Thank you.
