“Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.”
Respected Principal, My worthy teachers and dear friends. Today I am before you share my views on United India is developed India.

As we all know India is the land of unity in Diversity where people of all religion live together with brotherhood. This unity is a footstep towards development. Any idea for development is just a myth without the collective participation of the whole nation.

Unity among Indians is considered as the strength of our nation. Obviously, working together gives birth to new ideas, which encourage us to start business or industry, leads to success. It helps us to fight for our rights. Thinking together can make better plans for the future of our country. Together we can bring a change in our society. We can voice against various social issues in our society. For instance, save the girl child, crimes, child labour, cleanliness etc. We can educate the old generation about various recent developments in every fields. We should teach the  citizens of our country about the various schemes and initiative started by the government for their betterment. We should start giving respect to religion of each other, start following the customs and traditions of each other very happily. That is to say, we all should be tolerant towards all religions, which promotes unity among us. Further, this unity promotes brotherhood in our country. It reduces various disputes from the Country and bring peace among people in India.

No doubt, every individual has its own thoughts, views, backgrounds, religion yet we need to unite for the sake of our country, for the sake of our coming generations. This unity will make our country stronger.

Thus, United India is not just a concept for political stability and security but also an essential element for the overall development of the nation. So, we all should unite in spite of variations.

Thank you.

Where there is a will, there is a way.

WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY
- BY: ROHIT

The famous saying, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way’ emphasizes the strong Will-power, desire and determination. It is our hard work, enthusiasm, will or determination that brings success in our life. This is applicable in all walks of life and to everyone from students to professionals.

A person with strong Will-power can make his way even in thorns because he has energy and confidence to achieve his goals as in the story The Thirsty Crow in which the crow found the jug of water. Even the water level is too low, he succeded in drinking the water because of his Will-power. The concept of way in life also depends on our Will-power. Because as one wills or desires, he gets, not necessarily immediately. Humans have many wills. As one fulfilled, other takes birth in our mind. It is considered as the greatest driving force behind what we achieved in our life. It pushes the person  and their limits to get extraordinary results of their activities.

Moreover, our life is full of struggle at every step. It is our Will-power that encourages us to face all difficulties on the way to success with an optimistic attitude, determination and calmness. Many great people had struggled hard despite their limitations and got success. Such as Beethoven was a deaf yet he was famous. (for composer of music). Similarly Stephen Hawking, Helen Keller, Christy Brown, Mahatma Gandhi etc are the memorable personalities and an inspiration for us.

It is our determination and storng Will-power that helps us to find the way. We become more focused towards our goals in order to achieve them. This persuades us to take risks at any costs in order to  achieve our goals successfully. After that we strategize our daily routine or activities. We should be determined towards our goals without bringing any alteration in them. Once a goal is achieved, only then move on to another goal. Remember the words of lord Krishna, “If you fail to achieve your goal, change the strategy not the goal”.

Thus, this age-old adage is a powerful reminder of our potential and the ability to overcome obstacles. With this idea we can attain anything in our life. We should take every difficulty as an opportunity for development. After all, person who loses his heart never achieve his goals in life.

Joint family—a Godsend for Growing Children [Class VII, Term I, 2017-18 davunit8.org]

Honourable Principal, respected Teachers and My Dear Friends, Today I would like to draw your kind attention towards ‘Joint Family—A Godsend for Growing Children’.

Do anyone of you have heard from your Granny or mother that they used to live in big houses with a huge family of aunts, uncles, their children, grandma and grandpa? They used to do everything together. It was so much fun. But now urbanisation and nuclear families are gaining popularity. Because of this children of today are missing on the traditional practices of a joint family. A family plays an important role in framing the personality of a child. It is probably the most effective social support unit providing a secure and safe atmosphere for the child. Our values and attitudes are shaped by our families and these are the values that leave a lasting impression on children.

Children in the joint family get the opportunity to enjoy and cherish the love and affection of loved ones around. Children who live in a joint family lead a sheltered life surrounded by their elders. They learn the importance of sharing, being patient, and simultaneously, their lives get enriched while living in a joint family. As the child gets to share the things with his cousins he grows into a person who learns to live with people around. This way the child grows to be more sensitive and well-balanced.

The security of the child is also ensured. The child is nurtured with the love and affection of the grandparents and not the unruly maid-servants. But, in a joint family the parents should make it sure that they should spend quality time with their children.

Thank you.
