Clean India, healthy India.

 Q. Our streets are littered with paper bags, empty cans, fruit peelings and so many other used throwaways. Not only do our cities look unclean but lack of cleanliness can even lead to an outbreak of an epidemic. Write a speech in 100-150 words on ‘Clean India, Healthy India’, which you have to deliver in the morning assembly.

Respected principal, My worthy teachers and dear friends.

It is a matter of concern that despite an initiative of cleanliness taken by our prime minister, our streets are still littered with (filth and garbage, our public toilets stink, we use public walls as urinals and spittoons. Then we blame the government for mosquitoes, stench and epidemics.) full of garbage such as paper bags, empty cans, household wastes, poly bags etc without bothering to people. Today people are generating tons of waste everyday which is making the country dirty.

Is clean India really a healthy India ? Is there any relation between cleanliness and health ? Cleanliness is an indictior of sound health of natives of a country and so with India. Cleanliness in itself mean the absence of waste, dirt and germs. This makes India healthy. Cleanliness is considered as the first step towards healthy lifestyle. There are no illnesses in the state of cleanliness. People are less likely to get sick. They can keep various diseases such as malaria, dengue, chickengunya, asthma etc. at bay.

What's more, clean India produces no pollution, which gives fresh air to inhale to its citizens. They also get water fit for drinking. Cleanliness helps in the overall well being of individual, society and country. It spreads optimism attitude among people. It helps to relieves their stress, tensions and anxiety.  Cleanliness gives a pleasent look to India, which attracts foreign tourists to India, which inturn generates revenue for the Government.

It is the need of the hour that people should take some effective steps to make its environment clean. They should follow the 3R's i.e. reduce, reuse and recycle strategy of waste management. Besides this, afforestation should be encouraged among people to make India clean and healthy.

So Let's make the India clean, Let's make the India healthy.

Thank you.
