Prepare a speech to be delivered in the morning assembly of your school highlighting this increasing tendency among students and advising them to impose self-restrictions on themselves.

Increasingly Chatting on social sites

Respected principal, My worthy teachers and dear friends.

I am sure you all communicate with chatting using social networking sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram etc. In recent years, it has become very popular among students. These sites have gripped the minds of (students) school going children.

They should remember that chatting on social networking sites lead to many health problems. Predominantly, they can lose their eyesight. Spending a couple of hours on chatting can further makes the children obesed, lazy and disease prone. social networking sites discourage physical activities among students and make them couch potato. The recent studies have revealed that excessive chatting on internet leads to behavioural problems among children such as they get irritated, short-tempered, unsocialize and become less interactive among friends and relatives. What's more, face to face communication with their contacts has also decreased gradually. You become mere a tool for social networking sites. Sometimes the messages sent or received on theses sites convey misleading information and feelings or emotions of both parties are ignored. The social networking sites distracts the students from doing homework, project work affecting their grades in examination. Thus, their studies are affected negatively. It is totally a waste of time of the students. If the adverse effects of social networking sites outweigh its postive effect. So, why don't we all limit the use of these sites ?

Hence, excess of everything is bad. So, it is advisable to students that they should impose self restrictions on themselves. They should spend their time in outdoor activities, which keep them fit and healthy. They should devote more time to studies which leads to improve their grades and utilise their time to the fullest.

Thank you.
